TEST INFORMATION
The tests performed to evaluate the antibacterial activity of antibacterial-treated woven, knitted, and other flat textiles on our products according to ISO 20645 which is the standard to test hygienic finishes of hydrophilic, air-permeable materials or antibacterial products incorporated in the fiber.
TEST PROCEDURE
A two-layered growth medium whose lower layer consists of a culture medium free from bacteria and the upper layer was inoculated with the selected bacteria, has been prepared. Followingly, the PAHACEL Oxidized Regenerated Cellulose sample was placed on two-layered agar plates to be tested on both sides. The level of antibacterial activity was assessed by examining the extent of bacterial growth in the contact zone between the agar and the specimen.
